The Band...

Mathew Green, fiddle
Mat, squire of Bampton Morris, is known for his distinctive fiddle playing which can be heard on Magpie Lane recordings. His unique style comes from playing in the Arnold Woodley team and now continues the Bampton fiddle tradition of the famous Jinky Wells.

Jeff Dando, melodeon
Jeff learned to dance and play melodeon at college. An active member of Bampton Morris Men as well.

Ali Smith, bass guitar
Ali comes from Oxford. He has wide experience of playing guitar and bass in rock and folk bands. His devotion to music and dance has led him to morris dancing as a member of  the side at Kirtlington.

Dave Eynstone, guitar
Dave has played guitar with many different bands around Oxford. He hatches many of the Woodpeckers tune arrangements. His diverse musical experience is building a recording reputation.

Steve Finley, drums and percussion.
Steve has made a welcome return to the band after a few years of 'doing his own thing'. He's covered a wide variety of music and has played in many bands both at home and on the continent.

And here's a quote from one of Britain's foremost 'callers':Hugh Rippon
"Here's a ceilidh band that play with great zest and commitment to the job in hand: watch the room light up the moment they start playing".
Hugh Rippon - caller & author
