This slightly 'rocky' Ceilidh/Ceili Band emerged from the London Irish traditional music sessions. These informal sessions are set up in a pub with the good will of the landlord who usually hopes that it will bring in extra trade. Word goes round about where the 'session' will be and amateur and professional musicians turn up with fiddles, accordions, bodrans, guitars and whistles. The musicians have the jigs and reels in their heads and it just needs someone to start playing a set of these tunes for the others to follow. Dave and Ian met through these sessions.

Dave - (flute/bagpipes) known as the 'kilted one' as he is brave enough to wear Highland Dress in pubs before a gig  (even once walking into a Wetherspoons pub in Harrow wearing the full Scottish monty without batting an eyelid !! ).Dave dragged them all together to into a disparate group to form what is now the band.Dave emerged partly from the rock scene and drives the band on with his flute and bagpipes. Steve (fiddle),from Belfast,  is really a classical violinist but while studying at Trinity College, Dublin he played hookey and sat in with the trad. music sessions in that fair city where the girls are so…..blah, blah, blah. He now runs a session at a pub in Lewisham on a Sunday afternoon . Or maybe it's just a good excuse for Guinness drinking !

Ian (guitar) was doing the jazz course at Leeds but got the call to go swanning off round the world with the late bandleader Joe Loss. Ian is really one of those musicians that are fast becoming a rarity - a trained popular musician. When not waiting for the next pint in a pub, he's playing in the orchestra pit somewhere in the West End or playing the dots of some complex jazz score. There are lots of folks who tote guitars but few take playing them as far as this guy.
