This 3 piece Ceilidh Band,based in the Glasgow area,was formed at the dawn of the new millennium. Their creative, energetic and vibrant style of playing, will ensure that their blend of music is enjoyed by the novice, discerning dancer and musical enthusiast alike.
Alistair began learning the accordion when he was 7 years old and after moving to Glasgow in 1978 at the age of 13, he moved to the 'Jimmy Blair Accordion School', which was the breeding ground for some of today's finest and well established players on the Scottish music scene.His main passion lies mainly in playing music from the Scottish/Irish Traditional and Gaelic idiom.
Emma began playing the violin at the young age of nine years old. Since then, she has been a member of various orchestras and ensembles and is currently a member of Strathclyde University Symphony Orchestra.With a BA Honours degree in Applied Music, Emma is now a Fiddle tutor and hopes to continue a balance of teaching and performing both Classical & Traditional music. Andrew began playing the drums at 12 years old. Since then, he has been a member of various orchestras and played in bands of varying genres - Jazz, Funk, Rock and Ceilidh. He joined the band for their very first gig and has been with the band ever since. He too graduated with a BA Honours degree in Applied Music and now works as an instrumental tutor for Renfrewshire schools and Strathclyde University, as well as teaching privately. In demand throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK (as well as entertaining audiences in Dubai,Abu Dhabi, Brussles, Prague and Stockholm), you can be assured that attending one of their Ceilidhs is guaranteed to be a real (or should that be reel) foot tapping experience from start to finish!
All dances will be called by the band if required, ensuring a memorable ceilidh experience is enjoyed by all.
To keep up with the needs of diverse audiences in the 21st century, the band offer a much requested and popular Disco package (at a slight additional charge) to compliment their ceilidh.
